Sue Aston has appeared on professional classical recordings, radio broadcasts, and television, both nationally and internationally, and worked with eminent musicians such as:

Simon Rattle, Nigel Kennedy, Peter Donohoe, Yehudi Menuhin, Sir Charles Groves,  Esa Pekka Salonen, Gordon Giltrap and Chris De Burgh.

From the folk world, she has supported Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick.

I offer violin tuition to people who want to take the opportunity to immerse themselves in music for an hour or so during the daytime or evening.

This leaves the majority of the day to explore or simply relax in the beautiful Cornish Landscape. The nearest town Penzance is 2 miles away and the world famous IMS master class sessions take place in Prussia Cove which is also 2 miles away. There is a rich tradition in music throughout the area.

Perhaps there is something in particular that you would like to achieve with your violin playing.
For example, would you like to broaden your playing with duet work, or is there an area of your technique that you would like to concentrate on?

Student feedback

Violinists from around the world have benefited from Sue Aston's Violin intensives.

'I have been so much more confident in my playing since I got back, and I am totally ready to show my teacher what I can do!'

Alison (Violin Student) California USA

You will be practicing less than a mile from the sea and just 2 miles from Prussia Cove in Cornwall where the world famous IMS sessions take place
